Taking Kids Outdoors (TKO) was formed in 2015 when a core group of individuals wanted to use their love for all things outdoors to improve the lives and opportunities of local youth.

 

The start of this journey began with the resurrection of a previous National Wild Turkey Federation sanctioned event, simply known as the Beard Bash!! This local event is held every year during the state wide youth spring turkey season and originally hosted around 20 kids for an all inclusive weekend of lodging at Camp Loucon and guided turkey hunts around Grayson County.  With the popularity of this event growing we decided to expand the vision of our group and host multiple events through the year and broaden our impact to kids all across Kentucky and surrounding states.
